(WNY News Now) – A 50-year-old resident of Machias, NY, was apprehended by SP Machias Troopers on September 19, 2023, for allegedly committing Petit Larceny in connection with a recent incident in Yorkshire.

Yorkshire – A 50-year-old resident of Machias, NY, found herself in legal trouble on September 19, 2023, as she was arrested by SP Machias Troopers. The arrest is linked to an incident that transpired on September 18, 2023, at a business establishment situated on State Route 16 in the town of Yorkshire.

According to authorities, Ms. Wood stands accused of utilizing a counterfeit $100 bill to settle a purchase for merchandise at the aforementioned Yorkshire store. As a result, she now faces charges of Petit Larceny.

Wood was subsequently taken into custody and subsequently released, having been issued an appearance ticket for Yorkshire Town Court. Her scheduled appearance before the court is slated for October.
